”Whose call was it, so late in the night? ” Jiang Yuyan asked.

”Don ’t worry, you don ’t have any love rivals, ” Lu Qiang teased.

”My biggest love rival is your business so having few more, won ’t matter, ” she commented, looking not so happy and sat on the bed.

”Seems like Mrs Lu is in a bad mood, ” he enquired, not knowing the reason behind her bad mood.

Jiang Yuyan didn ’t react, so he continued, ”That was San Zemin, my most trusted man and who is responsible for our whole family ’s security and one of the best spies one can have. ”

Jiang Yuyan thought for a while and said, ”Oh! I heard this name from Lu Lijun.
Even that kid knows about him but me. ”

Seeing her sulking, he went to her, ”I will tell you about him too as you might need him in the future for your own work. ”

”Why would I need him? ” she asked.

”In case you feel like I have an extra-marital affair, you can always ask him to spy on me, ” Lu Qiang replied.

”Do you trust me this much? ” Lu Qiang asked.

”No, I trust myself.
You won ’t get a woman better than me and the one who can touch your heart. ” Saying she got up from the bed.
”Excuse me, nature ’s call ”.

Lu Qiang laughed.
”Okay.
go. ”

When Jiang Yuyan came out of the bathroom, she was expecting Lu Qiang to open his laptop for work and read the report, but when she came back; he was not in the room and found out he was standing in the gallery.

”Why is this workaholic man not working today? No work, but at least open your laptop to see what is inside.
What am I supposed to do with him? ”

Jiang Yuyan went to him in the gallery and asked, ”What are you doing here? Aren ’t you going to work tonight? ”

Not answering her, he said, ”You should rest in bed. ”

”I am fine now and I too want to get fresh air. ”

”Hmm! Come here. ”

”Is everything okay? ” she asked.

”Can ’t I just hug my wife with no reason? ” he replied. 

”Hmm! You can. ”

As a minute passed by, he spoke, ”Thank you so much, ” still holding her in his embrace.

”For what? ” she asked.

”Just, ” he replied.

Lu Qiang didn ’t let go of her for some more time as if he won ’t get to hug her again and Jiang Yuyan didn ’t disturb him thinking he must be exhausted because of the extreme pressure of the work. 

They went inside and when Jiang Yuyan was thinking Lu Qiang will go back to his laptop after putting her to sleep, to her surprise he climbed in the bed too, to sleep beside her which disappointed her again.

She lost the hope that he will get to know about the good news that night and decided to leave it at the time.

Both slept quietly, not knowing what the next morning would bring to them and Jiang Yuyan being unaware of whether she could ever tell him about the good news which she was eager to tell him.
