I ready Rolgar and confront the Orc King subspecies.
It’s probably close to the Ancient Dragon in terms of capability.
I feel that much intimidation.

Come to think of it, it’s my first time fighting against an S Rank monster huh.
It was pretty much the Pope who dealt with the Ancient Dragon previously, and the requests for Shishou are also A rank at best.
Well, it’d be troubling if the calamity-grade S Rank appears all willy-nilly though; since a single one is enough to warrant a country to deal with it at top priority.

Besides, the Demon General is probably stronger.

“Well, nothing will come out of thinking about it huh.
I just have to defeat it”

I guess the Orc King recognised me as its enemy as well.
It looks in my direction and stands unmovingly with its curved blade ready.
Silence envelops the surroundings.
It’s so quiet that it hurts the ears.
The few seconds that feel like an eternity passes by moment by moment.

It’s to the extent that even the sound of somebody swallowing their saliva reverberates.
At that moment

“GUBURaaaA!”

the Orc King leaps out at me.
The Orc King swings its curved blade up towards the upper right and swings it down at me.

I start moving at the same time as well.
I cast the respective Magic Endowments and receive the curved blade that’s swung down with Rolgar.
‘Gakiin!’, a metallic clank reverberates in the surroundings the moment it collided with the curved blade.
At the same time as that, the shockwave damages the cave’s wall.

“BUMOoo!?”

I guess the Orc King didn’t think that it’d be repelled.
It raises a surprised voice.
But that’s also only for a second.
It immediately returns its repelled curved blade back into its hands and swings down at me again.
I repel that with Rolgar.

We clash over and over again.
I repel the curved blade with Rolgar and try to close in, but the Orc King immediately brings its curved blade back and swings at me so that I can’t close in.
We repeat that over and over.
It’s quite fast huh.
But at this rate…….

Perhaps the Orc King has also grown impatient, it backs down, taking its distance temporarily.
It then takes the stance of carrying its curved blade on its shoulder.
What? I was baffled initially, but I immediately understood.
It’s because I could tell that Magic Power is gathering at the curved blade.

“BURAaaAA!”

It switches from holding the curved blade with one hand to holding it with two hands and swings it diagonally from its shoulder with all its strength.
In that instant, a slash of Magic Power gets released from the curved blade.
The slash that plunges forward while gouging the ground, flies over, aiming at me.

It’s possible to dodge it, but everybody is behind.
It’d be fine to dodge it if everybody can move but

I cast another Weapon Endowment on Rolgar.
I then aim and swing the Rolgar that shines bluish-white at the approaching slash.

“Destruction Spear of Lightning Strike(Takemikaduchi)”

The moment the Orc King’s slash and Rolgar collided, a rumble of thunder roars and a bolt of lightning shines brightly in bluish-white.
Through the force of that collision; the ground was gouged, struck by a bolt of lightning, and smoked.
But, I didn’t wait for the smoke to clear up.

“BUMOMOo!?”

I charge into the smoke and dash at the Orc King.
I guess the Orc King didn’t think that I would actually come out of the smoke either.
It raises a surprised voice.
I then carry on to close in on it

“Seii!”

and mow Rolgar down horizontally.
It carries on to enter the Orc King’s flank, sinking into it, and the Orc King’s body becomes unsteady.

“GUu, GUaa!”

But, the Orc King doesn’t just get done in like that either.
I tried to swing Rolgar to send it flying as it is, but the Orc King aimed and swung its curved blade down at me.
Because of that, I ended up stopping my swinging motion and dodging.

Making use of my attack’s momentum, ‘Kurun‘, the Orc King does a spin and lands.
This fellow is mundanely agile huh.
However, it’s looking over at me with hatred-filled eyes.
It looks like the armour that the Orc King is wearing is also only slightly dented.

“BURUaAA!”

“Wha!”

And for its next attack, it leapt at the cave’s wall on the spot, and subsequently kicked the wall and jumped in my direction.
Be it the spin just now, this fellow is unexpectedly nimble.

“Tsk!”

The Orc King that jumped from the wall slashes at me with its curved blade.
I block it with Rolgar, but the moment the Orc King landed on the ground, it jumps towards the wall on the opposite side.
It repeats that over and over.
It’s as though it’s a super ball1.

My cuts are gradually increasing as I’m receiving it over and over again.
I might have been cut down if the Orc King’s movements were slightly quicker.

“Lei!”

“Shit! Its movements are too fast; I can’t aim!”

I can hear Aerith and Mewcrowl-san’s voices at the back.
When I glance over, President Marina has also taken her stance, about to cast her Magic, but as I thought, because the Orc King is jumping around, it looks like she can’t get her aim on.

Vice President Brook and Berg-san, perhaps thinking that they can’t get involved anymore because they’re vanguards, are looking frustrated.

……I can’t be worrying Aerith any more than this.

“Gale Storm Body Endowment Two-Fold”

I endow my body with Wind Magic and increase my speed.
With Lightning Vortex and Gale Storm’s Two-Fold Endowments, my speed is probably something to behold.
And then when the Orc King subsequently attacked me

Gakiiin!

I don’t know how many times it has been, but I block the Orc King’s curved sword with Rolgar.
As it did thus far, the Orc King jumps towards the next wall the moment it landed on the ground.
Right here!

I jump, pursuing the Orc King that turns its back to me because it’s facing and jumping to the wall.

“BUu, BUu!?”

The Orc King that landed on the wall and looked over here, about to jump at me, raises a surprised voice.
It’s because I was there before the Orc King’s eyes.

“Oraaa!”

I swing Rolgar and strike the Orc King’s face.
An ordinary spear would’ve snapped with this, but Rolgar that has the ability to absorb Magic Power and harden shows no sign of that at all.

The Orc King was struck in the face and sent flying by Rolgar that was swung flexibly.
It’s my turn this time around.
I mimic the Orc King’s movements just now and kick the wall.
I jumped, aiming for the Orc King.
But my speed is unquestionably faster.

And then

“BUuMOaaAA!”

I pierce, gouge, and send the Orc King’s left-hand flying.
Despite screaming in pain, the Orc King swings its curved blade while turning, but I was already not there.
It’s because, like the Orc King, I jumped towards another wall.

Next, I pierce the right hand that brandishes the curved blade.
Next, the left flank, the right shoulder, the right knee, and lastly

“Bu, Buraa……”

I stab Rolgar into the neck of the Orc King that doesn’t even have the strength to stand up anymore.
Its head separates and flies off from its torso at the force of that.
I jump around, trapping it, and pierce it with my spear, so it’s a prison of spears, Prison Spears huh2.

It’s possible because there are walls inside the cave, but maybe it’ll be slightly advantageous if I can do this outside.
……which means, I have to come up with a way to jump around in the air.

But, perhaps it’s because I did something I’m not used to like jumping around, I’m exhausted.
As for now, I guess I’ll return to where everybody is.

“Lei! Are you alright!?”

The moment I thought and turned around, Aerith grabbed both my arms.
My external wounds are just the cuts from the shockwave and such, but both my arms are numb, and I can’t really feel them.

Well, I received that gigantic-bodied Orc King’s attacks face on numerous times.
Furthermore, I don’t know about the normal attacks, but they’re attacks from jumping around that carry quite a bit of its weight.
I’m currently secretly using Heal and treating it, but I shall remain quiet about it.

“Aah, I have several cuts, but there’s no particularly serious injury.
Is everybody alright?”

“Eeh, thanks to Lei fighting alone for us.
I’ll help as well next time so don’t go alone, okay”

Aerith who looks upwards at me pleadingly.
I can’t give my word on that.
She’ll get angry if I say it so I won’t say it though.

When I return to where everybody is with Aerith……the atmosphere is somewhat strange.

The moment I resolved myself thinking, as I thought, I guess I’ll try to talk about it, and tried to open my mouth, Mewcroul-san takes my arm from the side.

I guess it can’t be helped that there’s a slight disgust mixed into her tone.

President Marina is disgusted, Berg-san is laughing loudly, Mewcrowl and Aerith are bickering, and amidst the commotion, only one person was keeping quiet.
