In the palace training ground, a furious battle filled with countless flashes and afterimages of blades was taking place.  

 

Two figures moved like bolts of lightning.  As the they retreated and pursued, flashes of sword swings filled the air as the two Holy Swords furiously clashed.

The impact of steel on steel continuously rang out.

If the stands were filled with people, they’d definitely have filled the air with cheers at the sight.  

 

It was an amazing and fierce battle, which made the fighting spirits of the rise with each exchange.  As it continued, magic power started blasting out like a storm, shaking the air.

After an unknown amount of time, a clash more fierce and clear than the various previous ones rang out.  

 

The two Holy Swords have already clashed an innumerable number of times, but this time, one particular party was stronger, forcing the other back.

Shien’s figure suddenly shook like he was struck by lightning and he dashed backwards.  With a bunch of “tap tap tap” sounds, his feet stomped the ground as he backed off several meters in distance before he finally stopped himself.  

 

“That strength of yours is a bit much isn’t it…!?”  Shien couldn’t hold himself back from complaining.

A clear sound rang out.  Sparks splashed about.  The Holy Swords once again clashed in the air once more and separated.  

 

However, Lucy’s attack didn’t stop.

Lucy simply turned about directly in midair.  She withdrew her parried Holy Sword and stabbed out three times separately at Shien’s chest, stomach, and thigh.  Those three stabs were practically done at the same time as if breaking the laws of space and time, and stabbed out toward Shien at the same instant.  

 

Such superb swordsmanship.  As expected of an elite whose [Two-handed Sword] skill was at level 8.  

 

However, if it’s just the level of the [Two-handed Sword] skill, then Shien’s was unquestionably even higher than Lucy’s.  

 

Given that, when Lucy launcher her instantaneous three stabs, Shien’s Holy Sword suddenly spun and sliced forth like a windmill.

Then, Shien actually directly raised up the leg that had just dodged a stab and, in a flash, viciously kicked out at Lucy before him.

With a bang, Shien’s kick landed on the arm that Lucy raised up in time and sent her flying.

Lucy stated her strong objections.  

 

But Shien had his own words to say.  

 

“When it comes to someone who could force me back, you’re also the first ever, alright?”  

 

Shien watched Lucy as she made distance between them.  Even though they’ve had such a furious battle so far, she still didn’t have a hair out of place, or even a speck of dust on her.  Seeing that Lucy was looked as poised as ever, he only felt like his mission to kick her ass moving further from him.  

 

After all, besides the sealed Holy Sword, Shien had nearly used everything he had already.  

 

Yet, the result is that up until now, Shien hadn’t even dealt a single effective strike against Lucy.  He could serious say that this was going to be somewhat difficult.

Shien had originally though that he could at least force Lucy to use her unique skill.  However, who would have thought that Lucy hadn’t shown any signs of using a unique skill from start to end.  And even so, she had fought Shien to such a state, and even had a slight advantage.  

 

If she brought out that rumored super strong unique skill, then Shien felt like it’s unknown if he could win even if he unsealed his Holy Sword.  

 

“In the end, it’s the lack of build up time, huh?”  Shien had that realization.  

 

No matter how one puts it, having only been in this world for less than a month, Shien’s level was just too low.  He could have kept increasing his number of skills.  Thus, it wouldn’t be easy for him to win against Lucy, who had a protagonist’s aura since birth, worked hard for over a decade, and have broken so many records.  

 

Lucy seemed to be thinking the same thing, but she wasn’t happy at all.  

 

To have been forced to this state by a newbie Hero who hasn’t even been in this world for a month.  Just who would be happy about that?

“I’m getting serious now.”  

 

Lucy raised up the Holy Sword in her hand, her magic power flowed into the words, making the blade shine with crimson magic power.
