Yang Han had the best time of her life in Yang Mo’s hometown, Qingdao.
When there were no houses she could visit, she would look for Lu Yue Ming.
After a number of times, Lu Yue Ming’s mother came to know her too.

Lu Yue Ming had developed the habit of setting two alarm clocks.
After the earlier alarm went off, he would get up in a sleepy daze, open the door and set out the fruits and snacks on the table before going back to catch up on sleep.

Once the second alarm went off, he would get up again and successfully capture a live Yang Han who was eating in the living room.

Lu Yue Ming’s parents really liked her.
Yang Han, who was usually captured by the food, would be eating while chatting with his aunts and uncles.
When she saw Lu Yue Ming walk out with a head of messy hair, she would happily say, “Mornin’, Xiao Lu!”

Lu Yue Ming smiled at her, “Morning.”

Xu Jia sometimes chatted with him too, but when she learned that Yang Han spent all day with Lu Yue Ming, she stopped talking like a human being.
She posted a statement saying the eldest princess was fickle and her heart could not be controlled, even adding that after serving her for half a year, Xu Jia had lost her favour.

Yang Han: “???”

Yang Han was like an incapable ruler who did not care for old sentiments as she coldly said, “Go to the cold palace1 then.”

Xu Jia: “Sobs.”

Chinese New Year was over.

The consequences of having too much fun was that the homework for winter vacation was completely untouched.

The company faced some problems halfway through the vacation, so Han Shi Yu took a flight and left first.

Yang Mo was responsible for driving on the way back.
After bidding goodbye to Old Yang and Er Dan, he drove Yang Han and Han Lang back.

Yang Han’s school bag was left in its original state, unopened.
She really wanted to escape reality, but the heavy weight pulled back to the cruel, harsh truth.

Their homeroom teacher told them to plan out their holidays, revise according to a form prepared and have their parents sign it after writing a fifty-word comment every now and then.
When Yang Han started delaying it once or twice, she managed to convince herself that she was saving it all up to be signed altogether later on, or that she had been too immersed in studying previously that she forgot.
Anyhow, Yang Mo wouldn’t mind it…But she had delayed it for six times now.

The day to submitting a photo of the signed form to her teacher was nearing.
Yang Han could only brace herself and go to Yang Mo.

Yang Han stood pitifully in front of the sofa with the parental signature form.
Yang Mo was unmoving, sitting cross-legged as he calmly poured himself a glass of hot water.

Yang Han: “Dad…”

Yang Mo: “Hm?”

“Parental signature…” Yang Han’s voice grew smaller and smaller.
“Six times…”

Yang Mo took the blank form while taking a sip of water before saying, “Why didn’t you look for me for the previous times.”

The reasons that Yang Han thought would work perfectly became stuck in her throat as her mouth turned dry, “I forgot…”

“Oh,” Yang Mo said, “You only forgot about it.”

Yang Han: “Mhmm.”

Yang Mo looked at her and said, “Then you must have finished your homework.
Where is it?”

Yang Han: “…….”

She weakly placed the blank question papers in front of Yang Mo.

Yang Mo didn’t even flip through them, only pointing at the brand-new book cover.
“What’s wrong? Accidentally clicked Ctrl + A and Delete?”

Yang Han: “……”

Yang Mo had said before that once Yang Han enrolled in high school, he wouldn’t watch over her studies anymore.
He didn’t say a single thing when Yang Han was spending all her time playing too, only waiting for her to be taught this lesson.

Seeing that Yang Mo had not the slightest intention of moving the pen in his hand, Yang Han stammered out, “But…We need to take a photo and submit it tomorrow.” She looked up and tried to squeeze out some moistness in her eyes to convince Yang Mo.

Yang Mo never got affected by such tricks on matters like this.
He placed the glass of water back on the table and slowly pushed back the blank form towards her.
“Hm, let me think of a way.”

Yang Mo said, “You can check your history or the recycle bin.”

Yang Han: Ugh.”

He looked at Yang Han and asked, “Do you know what you did wrong now?”

Yang Han lowered her head, “Yes.”

“”

Yang Mo sighed and softened his tone a little but still didn’t give in and said, “Think of a way yourself.” He then added, “No going to Han Shi Yu.”

Yang Han whimpered in pain.
Her dad was determined to make her have a taste of this lesson to the bitter end.

In the end, Yang Han called her grandma and took the bus to Han Lang’s house.
After promising to study hard in the next few days to make up for all the lessons she had missed, Han Lang, out of her soft-hearted nature, signed the form for her.

Yang Han wanted to find someone to do her homework together with and catch up on her classes.
She suddenly remembered her appointment with Liu Zuo Ye and thought of inviting her over to study together while meeting Han Shi Yu at the same time, so she sent her a message.
But Liu Zuo Ye didn’t reply.
After a few days, Lu Yue Ming came back from his hometown and Yang Han hurriedly asked if he was free as if she was found her saviour.

Lu Yue Ming gladly agreed.

The doorbell rang and Yang Mo opened the door.
When Lu Yue Ming saw him, he gave a small bow and called out, “Hello, uncle.”

Lu Yue Ming maintained a consistent level of respect towards him from the start till now no matter how many times he had met Yang Mo and regardless of how Yang Mo dissuaded him about it.
Yang Mo smiled helplessly and said, “No need to be so reserved.”

Lu Yue Ming: “En.”

As soon as he entered the door, he was greeted by the big calligraphy words in the living room.

Lu Yue Ming: “……”

Under the hanging calligraphy work, on the sofa and buried in the papers, Yang Han cried out, “Xiao Lu—”
