My sword has clashed against the staff, but there was no sound and shockwave. It had taken me a whole moment to release what happened.

My Rule power had advanced, the Rule of Swallowing, which was on the edge of advancing and had finally reached Advanced-grade, and what had just happened, was because of it.

It had spread through my whole body like bubbly fog, so when my sword and its staff clashed. All the power produced throught was swallowed by that bubbly swallowing fog and sent to runes that instantly absorbed it and covered it into raw power.

It is why I suddenly felt so much strength coursing through my body, giving me confidence that I could do anything.

I was surprised by my sudden rule advancement, the Scarlet Houndman, which is a frenzy not. It attacked me, and now its staff is very close to crushing my head.

Clang!

I moved my sword with speed like never before, able to defend against its staff when it was just inches from my head, and the attack before, all the energy got absorbed that only faint sound of metal clashing released from our clash.

It is likely why, within a few seconds, I felt tens of gazes at me. These people have thought our battle is overseeing no deafening sound and shockwave released from our attacks, but when they came, they saw us still fighting but strangely, there was barely any sound coming from our attacks.

If I had not been fighting against this Scarlet Houndman with all my strength, I would have loved to see what look they have on their face; it would be priceless.

Clang Clang Clang…

Scarlet Houndman seemed to understand something strange is happening, but that did not bring it out of its frenzy but increased its frenzy even more, and it had started to attack me with even more power.

Two hours passed by, it continues the attack, and while I continued defending. I wanted to finish the fight soon, but there is nothing I could do; I do not have the power to finish it off, and my moves would not be able to hold with the strength it is showing.

So, I decided to wait till it exhausted itself. Its conversion ability is powerful, but it will surely take a toll when used too long. I had expected it to continue using it for an hour, but it had surprised me using it for two hours before its attack finally started weakening.

Its attacks have now weakened enough that I could finally think about using my moves, but I did not use them. I controlled myself and waited for it to weaken further.

Twelve roses came out of the ground, the moment it had gained sanity from its frenzy. The tiredness has cleared its mind; finally, I would wait for a few more minutes but seeing sanity returning in its eyes, I know I could not wait any longer and used my move.

”Shit! ”

It seemed to understand what is happening as it cursed loudly, seeing the roses as it looked around ways to escape.
