I Became the Villain’s Trainer

It wasn’t difficult to recognize her as the female lead’s physical appearance was mentioned in the novel several times.
She had bright red hair and dark blue eyes.
But Alexa blankly nodded her head with her low-saturated reddish-brown hair like an extra. 

 

You came here to the Grand Duchy now? That’s strange.
Originally, Selina should have come here to the Grand Duchy a year ago. Where on earth did it go wrong? 

 

She had already thought how strange it was that Selin hadn’t appeared until now, but that thought stood out when she finally met Selina in person.
A lot has changed from the original novel so far.
The biggest change of them all was Alexa surviving and coming to the Grand Duchy to take over Selina’s role. Is it because of that…?

 

This should be something to think about slowly. 

 

“My name is Selina.
Please take care of me, Miss Alexa.”

 

And so, Alexa met the female lead of the novel for the first time – as a person who should have died but survived.

It was the first class she was looking forward to the most, but she was very dazed that she didn’t even notice how it was going.
The only comforting thing was that her answer was correct.
Karrolf poured praises on Alexa but that wasn’t enough to wake her up. 

 

“Alexa.”

 

“Yes, Teacher….”

 

“You’re strange today.”

 

He hadn’t met Alexa that much, but he knew she shouldn’t be looking so down like this.
His strangely drooping appearance wasn’t suitable for her and looked pitiful. 

 

With a face full of concern, Karrolf asked her, “Did something happen?”

 

“No….
I’m really sorry I couldn’t concentrate properly today.”

 

She was obviously distressed about something, but she didn’t forget to show manners in the meantime.
Can’t do anything about it, Karrolf patted Alexa’s head. 

 

“I know.
If you’re not, then you’re not.
But if you’re having a hard time, you can find me anytime.”

 

“Yes, Teacher.”

 

Alexa nodded and left the study room.
After that, Ysildus quietly followed her. 

 

Alexa’s head was in fact filled with thoughts of Selina right now.
When she had just arrived at the Grand Duchy, she thought that Selina would come soon, so she thought that she would have to leave Ysildus in Selina’s care and quickly get out of the Grand Duchy.
However, Selina couldn’t be found and more than a year had passed.  

 

Alexa bit her lip.
She seemed to know what was called to this feeling now – jealousy, envy, and… hate.
She hated Selina for no reason.
She pretended not to be, but she seemed to have grown attached to the charm of the Grand Duchy.
She hated the thought that she had to give up this place to Selina. 

 

Alexa trudged along while limping. 

 

‘I think I am disappointed….’

 

Alexa sighed, covering her face with her palms.
Selina was in fact this novel’s female lead and not Alexa, so she should be in Alexa’s place.
She should be the one taking care of Ysildus, becoming friends with Terrun, and receiving the Head Maid’s care.
But Alexa recklessly took her place, knowing that it was heartbreakingly sad to give this position back to Selina. 

 

Alexa will be alone again after giving this all back to Selina.
What was it like when she left the Grand Duchy and lived alone for the first time? She ate alone, slept alone, and played alone.
She didn’t like the fact that she was alone, that’s why she didn’t even go out of the door. Do I have to go back to that kind of life? 

 

Alexa pursed her lips.
I really, really don’t like it.
Alexa hugged Ysildus with a gloomy look on her face.
Ysildus was also aware that Alexa wasn’t feeling well today, so he quietly placed himself in her arms and blinked at her.
It doesn’t make any sense, but Ysildus seemed to know all about Alexa’s feelings. 

 

“Hnng…”

 

Alexa sniffled.
Not so long ago, she proudly declared that she would become a doctor, but the thought of Selina taking her place makes her feel so bad.
Tears welled up in her eyes. 

 

Knock, knock – 

 

“Oh, come in!”

 

Alexa wiped her tears away immediately at the sudden voice she heard and then answered. 

 

The person who opened the door was the Head Maid bringing in hot chocolate and knitting materials in her hands.
Behind her were the peeping Terrun, the butler, and even Visten. What are they doing here at this hour of sleeping? 

 

“I came because I can’t sleep, Miss Alexa.
May I come in?”

 

“Yes!”

 

Alexa nodded and got out of bed.
Even the obedient Ysildus today, jumped out of the bed with Alexa.
As their leader, the people behind Head Maid came inside one after another. 

 

“Are you all unable to sleep?”

 

Terrun answered Alexa’s question.

 

“Hmm.
Strangely, I couldn’t sleep today…”

 

“But you looked sleepy.”

 

“I’m not sleepy at all!”

 

Terrun seemed very sleepy in Alexa’s eyes, but he, strangely, stubbornly said that he wasn’t.
He then opened his droopy eyes and nodded.
She doesn’t believe him at all, but well, they were all like that. 

 

The Head Maid, the butler, and Visten sat around the sofa in comfortable clothes as if they were just sleeping.
Alexa also approached them and sat next to them, then Terrun quickly took the seat next to her.
Ysildus looked at them alternately and snorted.
The best seat was always in store for him.
He jumped on Alexa’s lap, turned his body, and then buried his head. 

 

“I couldn’t sleep, so I came to share a late-night snack.” 

 

“Wow! It is chocolate.”

 

Alexa smiled as she looked at the hot chocolate with milk.
It was her favorite snack, but the Head Maid didn’t give it to her because her teeth were starting to rot.
There were also her favorite roasted marshmallows, cookies, and madeleines in addition. 

 

Alexa first put the roasted marshmallow in her mouth.
It melted sweetly, and at the same time melted Alexa’s blues away.
Alexa shivered. 

 

“Oh, it’s delicious!”

 

She twisted her tongue because of the marsmallow that stuck in her teeth.
She burst into laughter because she thought she was being funny. 

 

Ysildus, who must eat what Alexa eats, raised his head. 

 

‘I’m so cute, so give me some too.’

 

He was looking at Alexa with those eyes. 

 

‘Won’t you?’

 

Alexa shook her head sternly.

 

“This is absolutely not possible! Do you want to get hurt again?” 

 

“Arf!”

 

‘That is unfair!’

 

She could tell what Ysildus was telling her now just by hearing his bark.
Alexa stroked her head as he turned away.
Ysildus buried his head on Alexa’s lap and began to breathe lightly. 

 

“Eat a lot.
You should also have a day like this.”

 

“Yes!”

 

“Instead, you should brush your teeth and sleep well.
Wash your face too!”

 

“I promise.”

 

Alexa nodded her head.

 

The reason why they came here late at night was in fact because they were worried about Alexa who seemed to be in a bad mood all day.
She looked like she was about to cry and didn’t eat properly, so she was perhaps distressed about something.
They were gathered like this because of the fuss the Head Maid made saying that she looked like she would faint.
Terrun didn’t have to come, but he stubbornly followed after them.

He buried his head on Alexa’s shoulder and fell asleep quickly.
Wasn’t it uncomfortable? When he was about to fall, the obvious Terrun lay on Alexa’s lap. 

 

“Oh? He said he wasn’t sleepy.”

 

“Wasn’t sleepy? He followed me even when he was sleepy.”

 

Visten clicked his tongue and placed a blanket over Terrun. 

 

At this point, she can’t help but notice.
Alexa mumbled as she buried her head in the glass full of hot chocolate. 

 

“You came because you’re worried, right?”

 

“Ahem!”

 

Visten turned his head and cleared his throat.
However, even Karrolf had to say something…. I think this child who was full of green sprouts is going to die at any moment. 

 

Karrolf nagging Visten like what are you feeding the child? Visten was also steamed about and said Alexa didn’t even eat dinner!! Even though I specially grilled her favorite salmon! Then, ah! He realized that it wasn’t normal, so he hurriedly came with the Head Maid and the butler. 

 

“I’m really, really alright.”

 

Alexa mumbled and took a sip of her hot chocolate.
