I Became the Villain’s Trainer

“I heard that the onyx’s exclusive rights were taken from Thersion before, and your safes were bloated.”

 

The Finance Minister and Administration Minister’s shoulders drooped at every word the Emperor said.
Even so, there was a crooked  smile on the Emperor’s face while clenching his chin. 

 

(T/N: A little knowledge here if you want:

A Finance Minister is in charge of the Empire’s finances, economic policy and financial regulation; and  An Administration Minister manages daily operations, supplies and records.)

 

“Ruin it – I told you to ruin it, and yet they were in high spirits.
Was it Baron Visten who remained and acted as the head of the state? Did that Viscount originally have that ability?”

 

“… There is no one in Thersion that has the ability to read the current trend as far as I know, Your Majesty.” 

 

“Weren’t they only made up of muscles even in their brain?” 

 

 

“You’re right, that’s why the Grand Duke and his wife were naïve to be dragged into such a dangerous place.
But I heard they won there, too?” 

 

Cold sweats increased from the forehead of those who stood in front of him whenever the Emperor’s question fell.
The Emperor tapped the table with his finger. 

 

“Thersion may be better than you who were only discussing in front of the table.
At this rate, the people will know how incompetent you ministers are.
There may also be some fellows who were scrambling to appoint Thersion as the Emperor as before.”  

 

Although the Emperor was talking as if he was happy, his eyes were colder than the winds blowing in the north. 

 

“Th-that’s impossible, Your Majesty.
The seat of the Emperor is a position that was granted by heaven.
No one can take that place away from you, Your Majesty.”

 

“People don’t think that way.”

 

The Emperor put his finger on the desk. 

 

 

Standing up, the Emperor inched his face in front of the two ministers.
Their hearts seemed to drop as his eyes got closer.
The two ministers held back their groans and strengthened their legs. 

 

“I will have Thersion’s everything – their wealth, power, and loyalty.
Find a way to hold them on a leash.
I am talking about the reason why they suddenly got smarter.”

 

The ministers swallowed their saliva and answered, “Yes, Your Majesty!”

 

“It would be better to get those waists moving properly.
I don’t want to bear it anymore.”

 

The two ministers shrank at the Emperor’s slow warning. 

 

The Emperor’s attention was focused on Thersion, who went against him. 

 

The Emperor sat down on his seat.
The Grand Duke and his wife wouldn’t return safely this time in any case.
Thersion’s power would be cut down to half with that alone, so it wouldn’t be too difficult for him to put a leash on those wolves with drained spirits. 

 

I want to see those wolves as they struggle while they are chained on their leash. 

 

The Emperor’s eyes were filled with cruelty.

Alexa started to worry about making a living after a year had safely gone by.
Besides, the one year promised to her easily passed – she deviated from her fate.
In one more year and a half, Alexa was already in the position to leave the Grand Duke’s house.
That was the promised deadline with Visten. 

 

‘What will I do when I leave the Grand Duke’s house?’

 

I wouldn’t be able to get out of here anyway.

 

Baron Visten had already firmly told her before – that she must stay within Thersion’s territory and be under their watch. 

 

When she was lying on her bed, engrossed with the quill she was biting on her lips, a disturbance interrupted Alexa’s troubles. 

 

“Kiiing…”

 

“Alright.
I am right next to you.
Quickly go to sleep.”

 

Alexa comforted Ysu, whose stomach was exposed as he whined.
He tapped Alexa’s arm with his thick front paws, as if asking her to say he was pretty – the feeling of his soft soles touching and falling from her arm. 

 

“Hmmm, our Ysu is very pretty~! Where are you pretty~? Here? Here? Your eyes, nose and lips – you’re pretty everywhere~! Noona knows it all~!” Alexa rolled over the bed while hugging the puppy with a relaxed face. 

 

“Arf!”

 

“That’s noona’s nostril! This kid! You can’t!”

 

After a few minutes with Alexa tickling the puppy’s belly, it fell into a deep sleep.
He was bent down on his front paws with his belly exposed, while soundly sleeping. Euuu, Alexa rubbed her face against the dog’s belly without realizing it. 

 

How cute was he with his slightly opened blinking eyes, then turning his head away? It was a bit disappointing that I only got to watch this kind of thing for a year and a half. 

 

The puppy couldn’t eat nor sleep well and was anxious when Alexa wasn’t by his side.
Alexa can see how the puppy’s attachment to her was getting stronger, but anyway, he will forget the one year and a half after all.
Alexa couldn’t even imagine how dangerous that thought was.
She just poked his pink lips and heaved a sigh of relief. 

 

‘Stop thinking about sad thoughts….’

 

Perhaps it was actually Alexa who was having separation anxiety now more than the puppy’s.
She couldn’t sleep properly without the puppy beside her now.  

 

Alexa tickled the puppy’s stomach for a while, then grabbed her quill again.
She pursed her lips and rested her chin on her forearm. 

 

‘Should I raise a puppy if I go out……’

 

Not a dog that would be sent somewhere like this, but a dog she can stay with.
She scribbled over the edge of the parchment again and again with her quill, then she only came back to her senses when she heard the snoring noise behind her. 

 

“You’re snoring?” She smiled as she tapped the puppy’s lips, turning away her head as if she was annoyed by it. 

 

Alexa tossed and turned, before settling again.
First of all, Alexa thought that she had to pick out what she was good at in order to make a living when she left the Grand Duchy. 

 

[The things people say Alexa is good at… 

 

Egg fried rice.
(Terrun puts two thumbs up.) Study.
(I studied enough to go to veterinary school… I am still reading a lot of books.) Dog treats.
(It’s easy to make, but also quick to finish eating.
What about its unit price? Is raising a dog a trend in this day and age?) Oh, it’s hard.]

 

Alexa rolled over and leaned her back on the bed. What should I do to survive without being bored?

 

Seeing Alexa passing her nap time tossing and turning for a while, the maid asked worriedly, “Did something happen? You seem to worry about something?”

 

“Ah,” Alexa stood up.

 

The maid, who had been out for a while, came back and stood next to Alexa.

 

“Growl…….”

 

“Shh! Where did you learn this bad thing? You can’t! Are you going to be a naughty dog?” Alexa hugged the woken up dog who was baring his teeth. 

 

“Ah, he must have been surprised that he woke up so suddenly as he was very sensitive,” the maid replied politely. 

 

It was in fact a good response, but Ysu barked as if wanting the maid to leave the room. 

 

“That’s impossible.
I am very upset!” 

 

Alexa jumped up and beckoned to the puppy.
“Sit down! Did noona tell you not to do or do that! I am very upset! Reflect!”

 

“Kiiiing…”

 

“No! You can’t do that!”

 

Watching Alexa take great care of the puppy, the maid smiled happily.
Somehow….

 

‘She has charisma.
You are really a nice girl.
It would be alright if you rise to a higher position later!’

 

Thersion Family fortunately was on the more comfortable side about status.
They follow their own set  of rules within the Thersion Territory.
They have status, but what they follow was their superiority and inferiority in power to be exact.
What more, it was worth taking care of Alexa for  a year as her beauty was getting better and better. 

 

I wonder if she’s already attracting the attention of the Grand Duke’s knights? Besides, Young Master Terrun was also following her around….

 

Several knights would have offered her roses if not for Terrun and Ysildus.
In other words, she already possessed the elegance that a Grand Duchess should have.
Though it seems like she wasn’t really interested in that at all. 

 

“Will you, or will you not!”

 

“Kiing…”

 

The dog raised its front paw as if it had done something wrong. 

 

“Apologize! Hurry!”

 

Whether he understood Alexa’s words or not, the puppy lay down on his stomach.
Alexa smiled brightly and turned to the maid.

 

“I think he surrendered! Please tap his belly once!”

 

“… Oh, yes.”

 

The maid patted the dog’s stomach a few times with a trembling expression on her face, then quickly removed her hand.
It was because Alexa’s secretly staring eyes were no joke.
The maid quickly hid her hand and turned away.

 

“So what were you thinking about?”

 

“Ah… I was thinking about my future dream.”

Miss Alexa is small, cute and pretty, so you can do anything.”

 

Well? What does that matter? Alexa tilted her head.

 

It was a statement that she doesn’t agree with at all, and a completely unrelated statement.

“Are you afraid that the Grand Duchy cannot take the responsibility of one Miss Alexa? You don’t need to worry about that.
You can eat and play for the rest of your life.”
