Guardian Force of the Galaxy Series I

After a few weeks of training, Kane congratulated Spade, Zelfire, and Piper. ”Congratulations, you have completed your training. I have taught you everything I know! All of you have reached a new level of power, which means you are much stronger than before. Its such a shame that we don get to spend any more time on this. But if we wait any longer, Destructo will blow up half the planet. But we are ready for combat. ”

”Right! ” the three of them yelled together.

”Congratulations guys! Good luck in saving our planet! ” shouted Leila gracefully.

Without further ado, Kane led the pack, flying to their targets.

Kane went to the landing site with the others to give a surprise attack. They hid behind some bushes and watched the aliens talk.

”Listen, Leila. When we start, it will be dangerous, so don get discovered. Okay? ”

”Sure, no problemo. Im sure you guys can win without a doubt. ”

”Thanks for the support. ” Terry said.

Then Renegades scouter detected four energy sources nearby, and realized that it must be Kane. He told the other aliens and they left the site immediately.

”Where did they go? ” Piper asked worriedly.

”Oh no, they must know we are here! ” Kane said, forgetting that they have scouters too.

The aliens descended from the air and landed on the ground behind the heroes.

”Well, well, well, look who showed up! If it isn the great and powerful Kane! ” Goldark remarked sarcastically.

”So much for our surprise attack. ” Zelfire sighed.

”Where is Destructo? ” Kane demanded.

Aria: ”Destructo? You don have the right to fight him. Hes off your league. ”

”You must be the sayans Kane told us about. ” said Spade. ”You want to hurt our planet, don you? We, as citizens of this planet, won let you do what you want. So prepare for some pain. ”

”I remember you! You are that earthling from the lab! Ill make you pay for what you did to me! ” Ren said, startled.

”Listen, I don know who you people are. ” Piper said. ”But Kane told us all that we needed to know about your kind, and we know what your plans are. ”

”Really? ” Goldark asked.

Ren: ”So, Kane told you everything about us? You shouldn believe everything he says. Hes a traitor! ”

Goldark: ”Look at these puny earthlings! You
e no match for us! ”

Zelfire: ”You shouldn underestimate your enemies, you big ugly gorilla! ”

”What did you say?!!! ” the giant Goldark growled angrily. Then everybody froze as Destructo appeared before them.

”Destructo. ” Kane whispered to himself fearfully.

”What is that thing? ” asked Spade in disgust.

”Well…it looks like everybodys here! Thank you Kane, for saving us the trouble of looking for you!…Whats this? These must be the earth creatures that Renegade had so much trouble with! So, Kane, now you
e using earthlings to do your dirty work for you? You see, my dear friend, you are like one of us, Kane. ” Destructo said.

”No. Im not one of you! Im nothing like you! And Im certainly not your dear friend. ”

”Then Ill enjoy watching you suffer! Finish them off! ” Destructo commanded.

”Yes, sire. ” the sayans shouted together.

The two groups prepared themselves for battle. They glared at each other with hate and anger, and nothing else. Kane started off by punching Aria, then the heroes followed. The sayans went off in different directions and the chase was on.

”No! They
e trying to separate us! Don follow them! ” Kane yelled, but it was too late. Zelfire, Terry, and Piper were too far away to hear him.

Spade chased after Ren, and after a while they both stopped. Ren pushed a button on his scouter and a bunch of symbols appeared in front of his eye. ”Hmmmm…you fool! You expect to defeat me with this tiny fighting level? ”

”I wouldn believe every thing that gadget says. ” Terry said confidently.

”Heh, you
e right though. I should judge your strength from our last fight, right?

”You shouldn judge someones strength by encounters in the past. I haven fought you seriously yet. ”

Ren: ”Just for that, I am going to kill you quickly. ” He gathered energy balls into his hands.

Zelfire chased after Goldark and he was catching up. ”Come back here, coward! ” Then Goldark stopped and Zelfire stopped to catch his breath. ”So you finally stopped running. ”

”Whats the matter? Don tell me you
e tired from that run? ” Goldark said with a smile.

”Tired? No way. Im just warming up. ”

They jumped and hit.

Meanwhile, Piper fought Lance. Piper ran into him and punched him. Pow! Then Lance kicked him in the stomach and leaped a few feet back.

Piper grunted from the pain and put his hands on his wound. ”You creep! ”

”Owww, did I hurt you too much? I guess I don know my own strength! ” Lance gathered some energy in his palms, and formed it into an energy ball. He threw it straight at Piper. The energy was just too fast for him to dodge and too powerful for him to stand. It hit him, and his clothes were burned and smoking. Seconds later, he fell and landed his face in the dirt.

As the others began to fight, they realized these sayans were more than they could handle.

Goldark was just too tough for Zelfire. Zelfire punched him hard in the face, but he didn feel a bit of pain.

”Ouch. That really hurt. You
e just too much for me. ” Goldark said sarcastically. Then he wiped the blood off his mouth. Zelfire was shocked that it didn hurt him at all. Then he smiled, and grabbed Zelfire, and threw his ass on the ground hard.

Destructo watched Kane and Aria fight and laughed as if it was a show. ”Kane and his earthlings will never beat us. ” he said to himself.

Ren ran forward, still holding the balls, and Terry jumped away to avoid them. They kept on chasing each other. Ren threw the balls, Terry blocked it with a shield. The balls were bounced away. Twang!

Ren fired a succession of little shots. Terry dodged, and flew down really fast, essentially turning his body into a comet. Rens scouter beeped like crazy. He was surprised to see such a high power level, in the thousands. Bam! He hit Ren against a tree.

”Ugh… ” Ren said, recovering. ”How can a human like him have such a high fighting power? How can he suppress that much power? ”

”I told you that you shouldn rely on that little device. It won tell you shit. ”

Renegade wiped blood off his mouth. ”Heh. You hit me once, and you get all cocky. ”

”Once I finish you off, its all over. ”

”Wrong, human. It is just the beginning. Ha ha ha ha ha. ”

Terry grunted. ”What do you mean? ”

”Even if you do miraculously kill me, so what? Destructo will finish you off. Even if you somehow kill Destructo, so what? There will be other sayans who will come finish the job. And they will only send stronger and stronger sayans to conquer earth. Your little charade means nothing to us. You
e just an insignificant bunch! ”

These words did not sound appealing to the hero.

”Heh, it is inevitable that earth will be dragged into the Great War. ”

”Great War? ” Spade said, knowing he heard that before somewhere. ”What is this Great War? ”

At the very same time, Goldark and Lance mentioned the Great War to their adversaries. Zelfire listened, while Piper didn care.

Renegade: ”Whats the Great War? Wow, you earthlings are more ignorant than I thought. Even if this is a neutral planet, I didn think you people would be this stupid. ”

Terry: ”Shut up and explain already, will ya? ”

”Very well. Why do they call it the Great War? Because of the number of planets involved. This war, between sayans, and other foreign races, has been taking place for nearly a century now. ”

Terry was shocked. ”A century of war? ”

”Oh, yes. At first, it was meant to be a secret war. It all started on planet Murai. The Dark Empire was still in its infant stages, but they were arrogant nonetheless. They wanted power – more power than they already had. So they started to invade other planets. But of course, certain races fought back. And these races, realizing that they needed to team up to stand a chance, formed the Rebel Faction. Its an inter-galactic war involving many planets and galaxies! ”

”No way. ”

”Somewhere down the line, the Dark Empire sought the help of planet Arlia, knowing that it is inhabited by sayans. They thought wed be an asset to them, if we joined. Rumors have it that they forced the king to cooperate with them. But thats not important. Whats important is that this is the reason why we
e here. In order to help out in the war, us sayans need more planets. More planets mean more territory, and more people we can draft into our war. ”

”Grrr. You mean more people who will die for your worthless cause. ”

”Exactly! Now you
e getting the bigger picture. So thats why Destructo is here on this very planet. Hes a mercenary sent here to do this job. And we are his servants of war. Ive been instructed to come to earth and bring him the Cyber Suits. But someone took it from me. ”

Terry shrugged. ”Don look at me. ”

Ren got pissed. ”Don ** around with me, earthling. Just hand them over, and Ill promise you a quick death. ”

”How about…no? ”

”Very well. ” Ren said, gathering energy into his palms. ”Just keep up that attitude. ”

So, the heroes were introduced to the Great War. But how will this war affect them?
