Me and the guys are headed to our next class with Miss Samara as our Professor, even though shes more of a coach than anything since she teaches fighting. ”Im so glad we get ten free minutes before each class, Im spent, after presenting for so long. ”

Max puts his arm around my neck ”Don worry we still have like 5 minutes before Fight Club ” Thats what we like to call fighting class.

”You did good on that presentation though ”

”Damn! Dave? You know how to compliment people? ”

”Of course, it Was good…not as good as mine of course. ”

Me and Max say at the same time ”Ah there it is, theres the sass ” We get to the locker room and change. David finishes and starts playing Mega Crush Goons again. I do the same ”Wait 1v1 me I can win this time I can feel it! ”

”In your dreams, you main Tonic, my Watchdog skills are a complete counter ”

”Not if I use my Tonic Speed properly! ”

”You always say the same before I Ult into squid mode and beat your ass ”

Max joins us ”Wait lets free for all, for 3 minutes, Now! We don have much time before the bell rings ”

”Fine, but you better not go Dario or Ouija ” I say.

”I won Im using Birby ” Me and David look at him ”The vacuum? really? what gives? ”

”Well I was originally trying Pecan but it-uh it didn go well ” Three minutes pass and David promptly beats us both in record time. We leave our devices in our lockers and head out.

We walk into a big open area at the back of the building thats just as big as it, and find our spot on the floor since this class didn have desks for obvious reasons ”No fair you guys ganged up on me ”

”Hey blame yourself, I told you I was your counter ”

”I can get you playing dirty, but Max, why did you join him? I almost had him! ”

”I wanted the kill, I needed it to get my ranking up again after losing points playing Pecan ” He says *RING*

”Ugh, I hate that bell ” I say

”Me too ” Max says

Professor Samara walks in and a colored fog immediately covers the area, we all stand up and keep our backs straight, hands behind our backs ”Alright, class we are having our mid-term today and right now! ” She squints and looks ahead waiting for someone to say something, but weve all been there before, she doesn teach fighting for nothing. She waits a bit more then nods her head in satisfaction.

”Good now that I see I have your attention Ill explain the rules ” The smoke around her starts turning into a flat surface representing a map. ”Remember this map well Im only showing you once ” after five minutes she withdraws it.

”Now I will create a maze based on that map, you must get to the opposite side of where you started to pass. I will manifest my Perfume Mannequins along the way at random intervals, so you must prepare. ” She makes a hand signal and the smoke spreads around us and moves us in random directions. Then we hear her voice in our heads ”Remember! Reach your opposite side and defeat or evade the mannequins you have one and a half hours to finish. Go! ”

I feel the smoke loosen around me and dash ahead. Maze Runners, this is a common exercise she likes to give in class, the objective is simple, just reach the other side, but given this is supposed to be our mid-term I doubt its going to be easy, after checking the map I found it was one of the old ones she used at the beginning of the year. Not to mention the Mannequins, she usually has us spar against, will be included in this.

Miss Samaras Ego has always seemed odd to me, its called Perfumist and shes classified as a Vocation Class, and I know Egos aren exactly Meant to make sense but…what kind of Job dealing with Perfumes lets them poison people and summon solid objects?

I turn a few corners and intersections and see one of the Perfume Mannequins, it immediately turns and stares at me. It looks like a white Mannequin with a pink hue, its head is covered in bumps trying to imitate an angry face. *Plop* It makes a sound similar to water falling but bass boosted? Then lunges at me. I move to the side and just barely miss it.

Common Miss Samara I know the test is meant to be difficult and fair for all of us but you know Im not exactly the strongest here!

I try to use my Ego for enhancement. Common, common! A thin red energy covers me and I feel lighter, I then dash away from the Mannequin. I try to remember the map Samara showed us, if Im correct there should be an open space with two paths to choose just up ahead.

I should take the left path, it will instantly curve forwards and Ill be halfway to the finish I run for a few minutes and find it. I see Max there looking around.
